New in 2022!!

With the 2022-23 season, the Dewitt Travel Basketball Association is excited to announce the implementation of an electronic form “packet” as part of the registration process for players.  Parents/players are now able to complete the required DTBA/Red Cedar Youth Registration forms (Youth Sports Release, Emergency Information & Concussion Acknowledgement) entirely online as one complete packet!  This new process will save parents from printing and completing paper copies and is one less item to bring with you to your player’s evaluation session.  As with any new process, change can lead to additional questions; we have provided a short FAQ below to help with any questions that you may have:

FAQ:

Q:  Why did DTBA change their form submission process?
A:  This new process gives us the capability to create an online tool that will populate all information in Red Cedar’s form(s) for direct submission to the DTBA Board’s email, which will greatly improve the registration process for all users.

Q:  Where can I find this form packet to submit?
A:  Rather than posting individual forms on our website that parents/players must print, complete and bring with them as a hard copy on evaluation day, a link to complete these forms will be provided in your registration confirmation email that will be provided to you once the online registration process for your player is finalized.

Q:  If I have more than one player registering for this basketball season, will I need to submit form packets for each?
A:  Yes!  A form packet is specific to each player and will require you to complete as a separate submission for each.

Q:  When should I submit these forms to DTBA?
A:  To ensure that all registration requirements are met in advance of evaluation day, this step needs to be completed upon the registration of your player on our website for the 2022-23 season.

Q:  Is there a specific device that these forms should be completed on?
A:  We have not found any limitations!  These forms can be completed on a desktop, laptop, Android or Apple device.

Q:  How secure is my information that I am submitting through the new, online form?
A:  The online tool that we are using, Jotform, takes security of the data that is being sent very seriously.  All form links are secure, by default, with the same level of protection used by online banking or e-commerce providers; your form responses are secure!

Q:  Will parents receive a copy of the form submission for their player?
A:  Yes!  An electronic submission of all forms will be emailed directly to the “Parents Email Address” listed in the Red Cedar Youth Basketball League Consent/Release form.

Q:  How long does it take to complete the online submission?
A:  From the point that you begin your submission to the time that you submit the form, you should expect that it should take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete all information, per player.

Q:  What if I have problems with my e-form submission or I do not want to submit forms electronically?
A:  We strongly encourage all of our parents to complete the online submission; our hope is that this is a great user experience from start to finish for all!  However, we recognize that technology can sometimes have its challenges or that you may want to work with hard copy forms as an alternative.  We can work with you on the day of your player’s evaluation to have you try to resubmit through the link (if you are having trouble), or hard copy forms will be available on evaluation day to complete as an alternative.
